In Memory of Anthony Realamuto - by Matthew DeBonis and Alex Frasie
As many of you may have heard, the Valencia Film community has suffered a profound loss of a mentor, and Valencia Film instructor, Anthony Realamuto.
Anthony, was a father, a godfather, a mentor, an encyclopedia of knowledge, a joker, a gardener, a focus zen master, and one heck of a good story teller.
He was all of those and so much more to so many of us.
If there is one thing that is clear, Anthony led a life of service and accomplishment. Over the many years
Anthony embodied that filmmaking bug.
The bug that makes them love what they do.
The bug that makes them work a 12hr plus day and come back the next to do it over again.
The bug that makes anyone feel inspired every day they see a sunrise or sunset.
You better believe Anthony was saying it
*Bavarian Accent*
"Ohhh buddy... pal....golden hour"
The bug that makes them want to share their passion with others.
I could go on for days upon days about how Anthony impacted so many students, colleagues and the many who were able to absorb just a little bit of his knowledge.
Anthony had a love for life, he saw the beauty in the small details, and took the time to nurture those around him. He was a true sense of a gardener and we were all apart of his garden.
Anthony left a legacy that will last in each of us. Thank you for teaching all of us how to light the path ahead.
